Which Turkish is this?
This is Istanbul-standard Turkish (tr-TR), the language of the country, TV, and most learners’ goals. Regional accents exist; the course does not pick a village. Spelling is modern Turkish Latin script with ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü.
Who it is for
People visiting or living in Turkey, connecting with family, or curious about a non-Indo-European language that is still highly regular. Beginners are welcome. If you already “know the suffixes” but cannot greet a shopkeeper, you need recall, not another PDF.
How HyperLingua teaches Turkish
Turkish looks like Lego: one word can carry what English splits into a clause. That is easier when you say whole sentences than when you memorise a suffix table. Listen, shadow, recall. Islands cover tea, travel, introductions, and daily errands — the Turkey you actually walk through.
The same loop on every course: shadowing, active recall, vocabulary first, and language islands.
Pronunciation
Vowel harmony you can hear, the undotted ı, ğ as a lengthener more than a “g,” and a rhythm that is not English stress-timing. Shadowing native sentences is how harmony becomes a habit instead of a rule you check on paper.
