    Which Arabic is this?

Arabic is a family of varieties. This course is labelled ar-SA: Modern Standard Arabic with Saudi-oriented audio and vocabulary you can use in formal settings, media, and as a base across the region. It is not a promise that every café in Casablanca will answer in the same Arabic. We are honest about that; dialect add-ons are not this page.

    Who it is for

Learners who want to read and speak a standard they can take to work, news, and travel, plus beginners who were told to memorise the alphabet for months before a single sentence. Heritage speakers who understand a dialect but cannot produce MSA belong here for production practice.

    How HyperLingua teaches Arabic

The script is learned on words and sentences, not as a separate calligraphy class that delays speech. Native audio, shadowing of complete lines, then recall from your language. Islands start with greetings, introductions, travel, and polite requests — the lines you need before you can discuss poetry.

The same loop on every course: shadowing, active recall, vocabulary first, and language islands.

    Pronunciation

Emphatic consonants, ʿayn and ḥāʾ, and the vowels that English does not have are why “Arabic is written so I will guess the sounds” fails. Shadowing native audio is the pronunciation course. Five to fifteen minutes of repeating full sentences trains the throat sounds better than a consonant chart on the fridge.

    Example sentences

    • Peace be upon you.

      السلام عليكم.

    • My name is Mikel.

      اسمي ميكيل.

    • I speak a little Arabic.

      أتكلم العربية قليلاً.

    • Where are you from?

      من أين أنت؟
