Which French is this?
This is France French (fr-FR): metropolitan pronunciation, vocabulary, and the politeness of vous that you will meet in Paris, Lyon, or on French radio. Belgian and Quebecois French are related but not this recording set. You will sound like you learned French in France, which is what most “learn French” searches expect.
Who it is for
Beginners, school French that never became speech, and people preparing a trip or a job. If you can conjugate être on paper and still cannot order coffee without switching to English, this course is the production practice that was missing.
How HyperLingua teaches French
French courses love the passé composé timeline. HyperLingua loves a sentence you can say today. Native audio, full-sentence shadowing, then active recall from your language. Vocabulary islands (café, travel, work, home) carry gender and agreement in context so you are not colouring in adjective charts for a month.
The same loop on every course: shadowing, active recall, vocabulary first, and language islands.
Pronunciation
Nasal vowels, the French r, silent letters, and liaison (les_amis) are why reading French is not speaking French. Shadowing native lines trains the breath and the linking. Do not skip audio and hope the spelling will teach you how it sounds — it will not.
Example sentences

I would like a coffee.
Je voudrais un café.
Where is the train station?
Où est la gare ?
I don’t understand.
