Which Korean is this?

The course is Korean as spoken in South Korea (ko-KR): Seoul-standard pronunciation, Hangul spelling, and the politeness levels you will hear in shops, offices, and K-drama without the slang dump. It is not North Korean, and it is not romanization-first — you learn to read Hangul in the sentences themselves.

Who it is for

This is for people who want to speak, not only recognise lyrics. Complete beginners can start; so can learners who already “know Hangul” but cannot produce a clean sentence when someone asks where they are from. If your goal is a trip, a drama without subtitles, or family, the same loop applies: audio, shadow, recall.

Pronunciation

Korean’s tense vs lax consonants (ㄱ/ㄲ, ㅂ/ㅃ, ㅈ/ㅉ), vowel distinctions like 어 vs 오, and the batchim (final consonants) are the sounds English does not prepare you for. Romanization hides them. Shadowing native audio — full sentences, not isolated jamo — is how you stop saying “annyeonghaseyo” like an English phrase with Korean letters glued on.
